Geraldine McMillian Lewis

On Tuesday, June 26, 2012, Geraldine entered into eternal rest at the Riverside Regional Medical Center, Newport News, VA.

Geraldine worked many years serving others at Wayne’s Chinese Restaurant, Office of Human Affairs, Palace, and McKoy Seafood Restaurant.

She was a faithful member of Gethsemane Baptist Church for many years.

Geraldine leaves to cherish her memories four daughters: Martha Bishop of North Carolina; Maggielean Lewis, Jacqueline Lewis and Darlene Blow all of Newport News, VA; three sons: Rev. Kiser C. Lewis, Jr. (Saperina) of Jacksonville, Fla.; Johnnie Lewis (Therea) of Hopkinsville, KY; and Darryl Lee Lewis of Newport News, VA; three sisters: Anne Dorothy Murchson of Baltimore, MD, Lenora Hayes and Mable Buie of New York; one brother John Henry McMillan of Middletown, CT., Fifteen grandchildren, Fifteen great grandchildren and Two great great grandchildren and two special caregivers grand daughters LaCreada Blow and Shenay Lewis, a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Specials thanks to all of the care givers at the Virginia Oncology Associates, Riverside Family Practice, and Riverside Regional Medical Center, Nurses and Doctors on Four West and Five West Oncology.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM Sunday, July 1, 2012, at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be Monday, July 2, 2012 – 11:00 AM at Transformation Place at Gethsemane Baptist Church 5405 Roanoke Ave., Newport News, VA. Rev. Dr. Dwight Riddick, Officiating .Interment will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens.
